"The Great Dictator"-Movie Review"

                "The Great Dictator" was a Charlie Chaplin's first sound movie.The Movie was made in 1940.

 Background of the movie:-

          When this movie made the time was between Second world war.And that time  Hitler was ruler in Germany.He was on highest position.

Charlie Chaplin and Hitler:-

                   Both had many similarities in birth date and month ,physical appearance, popularity .But both were different in nature.Hitler known as cruel ruler and Chaplin known as a great comedian.

                 In this movie Charlie Chaplin was in double role.First he was soldier and another role played as a Dictator.Politics,social problems and Condtition of Jewish people we can see in this movie.

Situation of War:-

                 "The Great Dictator "movie focused on the situation of war.How politics and power both played vital role in war that we see in this movie.

Politics in Movie :-

               Political leaders had dual personality.In front of people they are very humble,kind hearted .But when they alone they are different .Here in this movie Hynkel was political leader.When he gave speech in public he took little kid in his hand.During speech he weeped.Sometimes we think that he was like dramatist.
   
               We also seen the meeting during two political feagures Hynkel  and Nepoliny.In front of media they behaved very well with each other.But in reality they were enemy of each other.And all time they were busy in fight about their army and new inventions.


Conditions of Jewish :-

                  Jewish people had no right to live same life as others.Jewish people was colonised people.Country people ruled over on Jewish people .Police and army also behave rudely with them .They bit them and also stolen their things from their stores.And  politicians was changed behaviour with them for their personal needs with Jewish people.

 Role of Radio and Newspaper:-

                 At the end of movie when barber considered as a Hynkel and he gave speech he talked on liberty,remove poverty and equality.And at the end he adreseed Hennah. He addressed Henah on Radio .And Hennah also listen him. This way radio and news papers played vital role.

               In conclusion we can said that the movie covers every sides of life like political ,Social ,economical condition,behaviour of political leaders ,situation of war.So this way we can said that the movie was comic political satire .
